Country Retreats at Butterstone

The cabin is easy to drive to and beautifully situated. We were right next to a little stream and enjoyed some quiet time in nature; you can hear nothing but birdsong and the water. Very cosy and well equipped with everything we needed for a lovely weekend away. I loved the hot shower after a long day of cycling and the warm duvets! On arrival we were surprised by a lovely bottle of wine and just had the best weekend, thank you!

Beautiful little retreat, staying in a lovely, well appointed, log cabin in a peaceful area of the Southern Highlands with my girlfriend. The cabin has all the essentials as well as handy little touches to help with the current COVID situation. There was also a collection of goodies left for us to nibble and slurp on . Next to a small stream, the site itself is lovely to explore, and at night the comfy beds and the quiet surroundings meant a great nights sleep.

Thank you for a fantastic stay! You can't be closer to nature! We woke up to dear and pheasants outside our windows. The cabin is very well equipped, unlike a lot of similar rentals - down to washing up liquid and toilet tissue (and I don't mean the usual end of bottle or single roll). The hospitality tray is very generous, the bedding and linen of lovely quality, and the bedroom curtains have blackout lining. The cabin boasts a proper bathroom with a shower rather than a shower room and the washbasin in one of the bedrooms was very useful too. For those chilly nights, the extra blankets and heaters provided were more than enough and the cabin retained the heat very well. There were also plenty of board games, books and DVDs for entertainment. We had a fantastic time and would not hesitate to stay again.
