Plaster It Yourself

My husband and I attended a 3 days course at PIY. We recently moved into a new house and wanted to do the plastering touch ups ourselves. Nigel was taking the course and was incredibly patient. We have learnt so much which we we can now apply to doing up the house. Would recommend to all, we had zero experience in this prior and it truly did not matter! 10/10!!!

I done the weekend course and I loved it the course teaches all you need to know to get you started in your new career and nigel is such a lovely guy he has a hands on approach he will show you what to do then leaves you crack on and if you have any questions he knows the answer i would highly recommend this course.

Really enjoyed my 10 day plastering and rendering course with Nigel. Great course, great bloke, great workout. Would highly recommend this to anyone planning on renovating their property, like we are.

Just completed the 5 day course and I would highly recommend this for anyone wishing to tackle their own plastering at home. As a complete novice I was a little nervous about starting and was not sure if I would master the plaster technique at all. I did faff about for the first couple of days but can honestly say that by day 4 it all clicked and I stopped overthinking how to load the trowel and apply. Nigel is an excellent enthusiastic teacher and he was certainly challenged by me . His patience, support and reassurance allowed me to build up my confidence and to take the skills home to complete my own plastering work. Nigel has been in the building trade a long time and was happy to share his experience and to offer advice not just on plastering but on other diy skills, tools, products etc. Mandy provided excellent administrative support and was friendly and efficient, responding to emails promptly and advice on what to expect and a list of local accomodation. All in all, a great team and a valuable course that will equip you with a skill for life.
