Netherton Montessori Nursery School

I cant praise Netherton Nursery highly enough. Dont hesitate, send your child here. It is really impressive actually astounding that such tiny children can reach the level of attainment that they do via the Montessori teaching methods. My godchilds confidence, independence and capabilities have been transformed by the expert, gentle guidance given at Netherton Nursery School. The calm contentment in the nursery is palpable. Montessori children become capable in all manner of everyday tasks. It is remarkable that they learn steady patience, appreciation of others skills and of nature, as well as cheerful coping mechanisms and, whats more, their natural curiosity is directed via finding out about things, into the first stages of research. Its inspiring.

This wonderful nursery school has been preparing the young children of this area for school and life for over two decades. I have seen a whole generation of successful, happy young people grow up starting their education here. It continues to flourish and adapt with the times. I could not recommend this remarkable nursery school more highly.

Netherton Montessori nursery is a nurturing Haven for Early Years development. The warmth and welcoming atmosphere, the prepared learning environment, the kind, motivated and highly skilled staff bring opportunities to pre schoolers that are hard to surpass. The orderliness of the Little school where there is a place for everything and everyone has a place, is safe and secure, attractive and inviting to all eyes. This haven fosters joy, integration, curiosity and exploration and concentration. Everyday issues and conflicts are resolved in a safe, fair minded and orderly way. Being kind/mindful to one another is very much a priority.. Learning and exploring both inside the school and outside in the beautiful garden, woods and farm are given equal importance. Everything needed for the growing developing child is offered at Netherton Montessori in an unbiased, secure and attractive setting enabling them to prepare for Life. In short, this really IS the best start we can give our children.

Both of my children, now young adults, attended Netherton Montessori Nursery School. I cannot recommend this school highly enough. The introduction that it gave to my children into education was second to none. From the beginning they learned how to be caring, independent children in a safe and nurturing environment. The teaching staff were excellent guiding each child, recognising and understanding their individual characters and giving them the freedom and opportunity to explore the world around them. The setting at Netherton is just lovely with a beautiful garden adjacent to farmland for young ones to play and develop relationships with one another. In the classroom the children are encouraged to not only read and write and develop their motor skills but they have the opportunity to take things from the shelves and busy themselves with practical skills such as polishing, pouring and constructing. These were the tasks my children loved best and which supported and encouraged them to actively engage in home life, helping to prepare food, to put shopping away and to see themselves as a valued family member. My children are now independent lovely adults, both graduates who have chosen careers where helping and caring for others is at the centre of their lives. I truly believe that Netherton Montessori School was a contributing factor in their successful lives and laid the groundwork and foundation for their positive outlook and approach to education and indeed to the world.
