Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre

Absolutely great day out! Took my mum to have an encounter with otters for her 60th and she absolutely loved it, the keeper was really lovely as well! Overall an amazing experience that will be a lasting memory great that you can bring dogs around certain areas as well which meant our dog didn't need to be couped up in the car the whole time! Also the food at the cafe was amazing! I had cheesy hashbrown and highly recommended that anyone that visits tries them so much for kids to do as well, will definitely be coming back again and recommeding to friends with little ones!!!

I have the memory of a goldfish so forgot to post this review earlier. My partner bought tickets for us for our anniversary two weeks ago. I love animals and have quite a severe anxiety disorder so this was a safe place for me, whilst still being an amazing experience. He booked two animal experiences, one with the Highland cattle, and another with the otters. Kevin (the park manager) was the one who did our experiences. He went absolutely above and beyond and was so sweet. You can tell how strong his passion for animals is, and it's very comforting to know that every animal in this park is cared for like a family member. He spoke not just about their species, but the specific animals' personality as well! Kevin also told us about the different plans they have in the works to improve the habitats further, so they're always working to ensure the animals have the best care. He made our whole day so much more enjoyable than we thought possible. Thank you so much Kevin! The Dizzy Duck Cafe is also very lovely. We had the mushroom soup and some halloumi. Very tasty, fast service, and reasonable prices. Also the cutest parrot lives there:) The member of staff at the shop was very helpful and kind, and answered any question we had. Honestly all the staff are very sweet there. Genuinely one of the best days out we have had, and we will most definitely be returning. Cannot recommend this place enough, for all ages. They don't allow dogs in the main areas of the park, but we spotted a dog walking trail just off the car park. If you do anything this summer, make sure you visit Auchingarrich Wildlife Park :)

Danger! We visited yesterday, a group of 7 incl 3 kids and 4 adults. We also ate there (37.39), as you can see from the attached 2 photos of receipts. Everything seemed fine. We felt the attraction was pricey but enjoyable. I bought a jar of lemon curd there as a present, it's on the receipt. See photo 3 of the jar. Thank God I opened it to check it was fine. I was shocked to see it's mouldy, see photo 4. It's mouldy even though it's still in date. I phoned the Wildlife Centre immediately @14.40, and again at 14.43, to warn them to take the jars off their shelves. I was surprised and disappointed that a) there was no answer and b) you can't leave a message. So beware. Nicolette du Preez, 15/4/23 @14.52
