I think I've only ever left one bad review, it's not something I do lightly especially with a small local business. I'd recommend avoiding Gebbie & Wilson when dealing with the estate of a relative. We opted to do much of the heavy lifting ourselves regarding my Dad's estate, we were told categorically this would reduce the initial estimate. It hasn't the costs have actually gone up and as yet with no end result in site. We now find ourselves looking at the prospect of making a complaint with the SLCC as a result of the changes in goal posts, misleading estimates and miscommunication (when there's any communication). It's been a devastating experience for our family. We requested a breakdown of the costs and have been told this will more than likely generate an additional fee! I strongly advise anyone requiring a solicitor to help a little with an estate to look elsewhere during what will be a very difficult time.

Best solicitor I have ever had. Used them to purchase a new house. They were efficient, thorough and kept us well informed. Very responsive and jumped on any requests immediately. There are cheaper providers in the market but you are getting incredible value here. Will go back to them for any future house purchases or other legal work. Very very highly recommended.

My partner and I used Gebbie & Wilson when we were buying our first property and we couldnt recommend them enough. Catherine was our solicitor and Marianne was our paralegal. They were both amazing. As it was our first time buying Catherine was more than happy to explain anything to us that we werent quite sure on. Would definitely use their services again.
