Rarebird

Sadly, this shop is now closed. I telephoned from outside, and the lovely lady let me in to the premises she is moving out of and explained this. She may do mail order when she has had some time. I'm only sharing this to save others from walking up and down, looking for a missing shop!

Excellent choice of Harris tweed gifts and clothing, all displayed beautifully, very easy to shop really good service. Nothing was to much trouble. Highly recommend.

Travelling through the Outer Hebrides last year, we by chance sneaked into a small shop in the countryside, admired the selection of products and had a fabulous chat with the shop owner. Of course, we found something nice, a cap of phantasic design and quality, always great to wear. A few days later, also by chance, we found the headquarters of Rarebird in Stornoway and had to enter the shop immediately We again met the ownere this time with his wife and received a full introduction into the production and design facilities. All products of Rarebird are created and handmade with full passion and significant taste, fully committing to the specific quality standards of Harris Tweed brand.
