The apartments are located right next to Tesco and a bus stop with direct links to campus. Douglas Street is also on the edge of the city centre, so most shops, pubs and restaurants are within a five to ten minute walk.
After visiting friends in different university accommodations, I can say that Midpoint offers better value for money. At the same monthly rent as the most basic uni places, you get:
- an ensuite bathroom (shower, toilet and sink)
- plenty of fridge and freezer space (this is often an issue in uni places)
- washing machine and dishwasher in every apartment (on campus, laundry facilities are shared by entire buildings)
Also worth mentioning: whenever I reported a malfunction in my room, Bastion would fix it within 2-3 working days (heater and extractor fan stopped working and were quickly replaced).
All in all I can highly recommend this place!
