I used to deal with Replicade regularly while at European Circuits and they are great people to deal with. Very down to earth and creative thinkers. I would recommend you speak to them.

Underwhelmed I went to Replicade Ltd, Stewarton in April 2018 for a small project to provide foam profiles for tools to be carried in a Peli Case. When I went in mid-April I asked for the job to be completed by the end of May. They agreed and confirmed it was a job they could do and the timescales were suitable. Five weeks went by and Id heard nothing so I phoned them. On getting through, a promise to phone back naturally never happened. After a further lack of communication, I decided to physically go to the premises and turn up unannounced in June (already way past the May deadline) to see what was happening. On arrival they were polite and blathered that my order had slipped through the net. No apology, theyd drawn a very basic sketch but nothing that realistically would have taken longer than an hour to produce, I was just given excuses about having a lot of work on. They said they would rearrange their programme and look at the order. By the end of June some sort of progress started to be made, unfortunately this was only as a result of me frequently ringing up to see what was happening and forcing them to give me a date and time when things would be ready. This is a job that should have taken a few hours on a CAD machine to design, so being generous say half a day, followed by the manufacturing process and depending on production runs and scheduling, realistically no more than a few days, at best two weeks. Further unsatisfactory communication followed in July, with exchanges of emails about sizing and draft templates being prepared, unfortunately these were incorrect, tools were missing, dimensions were wrong and they failed to recognise the appropriate layout of the tools despite me having been in the companys offices in person with all the tools in hand. All the communication was from me chasing them, with Replicade coming up with classic excuses of software not working, then waiting for the latest update to be uploaded and then not being able to transmit drawings, it became a catalogue of improbable issues all occurring at the same time. If they were not interested in my job, or had too much work on, or that they only deal with larger type customers, they should have said so at the start and I would have been fine with it and moved on, but no they made all the right noises that they could do the job. Despite further emails and calls its now August 2018 and from my last conversation with them Ive still not heard back to conclude the order. Luckily, Ive not paid a deposit or any monies. Quite simply Ive now given up and sought other means to get the project done elsewhere. If youre a small order customer and want to deal with an organisation that you have to be on their case at all times, an organisation that has no concept of managing customers expectations, that is evasive, fails on its own promises, makes all sorts of excuses and filibusters on a grand scale then this is the one for you.
