It has taken some time for me to again fully allow myself to be vulnerable after those experiences, and the work we are doing is far from complete.
But I do now feel that I am receiving the right therapy for my needs - Stephen offers quite a unique blend of cognitive, somatic, and experiential approaches that I've not encountered elsewhere, and is adaptive enough to work as best meets my needs within a session.
Most importantly, I trust Stephen.
I genuinely wish I'd contacted him sooner as I believe it would have saved me from a lot of further harm.
