We've stayed in that beautiful cottage for our wedding anniversary. We loved it very much. The cottage is very beautiful and cozy. Its very clean and it has got everything you need. Ailsa thought of everything and she designed it all wonderful. Tomintoul offers beautiful walks and delicious whisky. The distillery is just 10mins away by car . Definitely worth a visit. We didn't want to leave this beautiful cottage and we'll definitely be back. Thank you Ailsa for having us.

We had a fantastic weekend at gorgeous Ailnack Cottage. It was clean, cosy and comfortable, and the perfect base for the Tomintoul Games, with the pipe band marching straight past our bedroom window! We also enjoyed the adventure play park and the Tomintoul museum and Dark Skies experience. The cottage had everything we could need, including toys, books and games for our kids, a well equipped kitchen and a cosy log burner. The complimentary whisky was an added bonus. We'll be back!

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and Ailsa has thought of everything. It is fully equipped with all you could possibly need, and has lots of added bonuses such as a dog toy box and towels, a sofa box full of games, a dram of whisky and a tray laden with tea/coffee/hot chocolate and goodies. The village is super friendly. Nice and quiet at night but plenty in the village if you want to eat out or get some basic supplies in for a home cooked meal in the well supplied kitchen. The walks around the area are stunning and there are so many wonderful things to do less than an hour drive away. We packed it all in with paddle boarding and walks around 3 x Lochs, the Braemar gathering and night sky gazing watching for the Northern lights (and some trips further afield, along the NC500 to John O'Groats, Dunrobin Castle and the Whaligoe steps) We had a fabulous time, I didn't want to leave, and could have quite happily stayed a while longer.
