Dufftown Golf Club

Played in the middle of Feb after the snow had recently melted from the week before. Considering this, there were no temporary greens, no tee mats and I could play off the fairways. The course was in decent condition with only two greens that were wet. The greens were a bit fluffy and bobbly, but that was due to the greenkeeper unable to work on them due to the weather. There are some lovely holes with the standouts for me being the beautiful par 3 7th across a burn. The 9th tee box is one of the highest in the UK and has great views across the valley. The par 4 10th is utterly bonkers. The drop in elevation from tee box to green is the biggest in the UK apparently. It's not long but it asks a lot of questions about your game. Club choice is paramount as there a few elevated greens and greens that are well below your feet. A great course with breathtaking views as you start to climb up the hill. I can't wait to return in the late spring or summer as the views will be even better.

Great views, dont expect the greens to be slick but they are immaculate considering this course is in the side of a hill You need to be fit to play it unless you hire a buggy
