Glenrinnes Distillery

We had a wonderful tour of the distillery today and a tasting session.. we called up on the off chance and we were lucky. What an experience excellent knowledge from Susan in regard to the process followed when distilling the Gin/Vodka she was very attentive The tasting was excellent.. again excellent knowledge from our host Martin Thank you both for a wonderful experience this made our holiday Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Susan and Martin for a very informative tour of your distillery today, it is clear listening to you both that you have great passion and take huge pride in the business. The flavour of both the gin and vodka is exceptional, if anyone is looking for a premium gin or vodka LOOK NO FURTHER!

We actually pulled into Glenrinnes partially to snap a photo of the amazing scenery surrounding it, and partially to let a queue of cars pass us. The sign on the door instructed visitors to ring the bell and someone would be right out to open it, and after deciding we didn't want to disturb them during the work day we started heading back to our car. However, just before we got there, someone called out to us and invited us in. While we didn't get a distillery tour, we got to sample the Eight Lands organic gin and vodka (both were excellent, and we ended up buying the gin to take home) and had a lovely chat with the young lady from Canada who greeted us. Apologies for not catching her name - her friendly welcome made our day after being somewhat rudely turned away or ignored at other distilleries we had tried to stop at throughout the day, so thanks for turning our impromptu stop into a such a fun memory!
