Needed two new tyres whilst on holiday and went to M&R Motors. Didn't have in stock but promised he would by 0730 the next day. 0730 the following day and just as Hamish is taking the first wheel off the van pulls up with my new tyres. By 0800 I was driving away. A first class service, thank you.

Staying at campsite in Macrihanish & woke up on the day we were leaving to strangely find one tyre completely flat when hadnt moved the van for 3 days. M&R Motors recommended so called & guy was out to sort tyre in about 10 mins. Unfortunately, he sold us a second hand tyre that was flat within 5 hours of it being put on & we had left the area. Been told the tyre was dangerous as cracks between the tread. Very disappointing after such an initial great service & felt like I was conned out of the extra money for the tyre.

Great service from start to finish. Very friendly , helpful mechanic ( originally from Hamilton ) who phoned round all the garages in Campbeltown to source a tyre for my Mokka X as he had none in stock. None of the others had one either, so rather than let me travel home to Glasgow on a Universal replacement tyre, he fitted a part worn but legal tyre ( at no charge ) in order to allow us to finish our journey safely. What a lovely guy who went above and beyond! Highland hospitality at its best!

I was visiting in the area when our car developed a worrying loss of power. Found this garage via a Google search. Great choice car was looked at and problem diagnosed within the hour. Parts ordered and promptly fixed when arrived. We had a comfortable drive home. Which is over 200 miles away. Would not have been possible otherwise. Thanks Hamish. Price reasonable too.
