Boat ride was fine, a little choppy but the crew have obviously done this a million times before. Very reassuring if anyone has doubts about a boat ride. Short ride over, a bit of history provided and then a few hours to walk the island path and visit the Broch. Then a cruise back past the Broch and back to dock. Payment is only in cash taken on the return journey! Worth it but keep an eye on the website every morning to make sure they are sailing. Given the unpredictable weather, it's worth trying to get the boat trip in as early as possible if you intend on doing it. Quite possible it could be cancelled on a specific day you've waited for.

Beautiful location. Seals often bask on the nearby slipway. Boathouse has an antique ferry boat and display of photographs and items of historical interest.
