Seakayak Shetland

We had a great trip out with Seakayak Shetland. They catered very well for our needs and adjusted for the prevailing conditions. Really interesting nuggets of local info provided by our guide, Angus.

Our half day kayak was one of the highlights of our trip to Shetland. It's a great way to see the islands and get close to nature. Angus was a fantastic guide who shared lots of interesting stories of the places we paddled past. We were also delighted with the photos we received afterwards, and we were definitely glad that we didnt take our mobile phones to get photos!! If making a booking just be prepared to be flexible with dates/times and locations as trips are very dependent on the weather, tides etc. We would thoroughly recommend a trip with Sea Kayak Shetland.

Hi, I went out with Sea Kayak Shetland on Friday 28th May. It was a fairly large group but there was plenty of good quality kit to go round. I was able to say what size of boat I wanted; it was comfortable and stable. We had a relaxed journey with sparklingly clear water, and stunning scenery, all the way. Today there were three guides for our trip. They were friendly and kept us safe. I didn't take any photos on the water, but the guides did, and have made them (including this one) available to download. Thank you for a lovely day out on the water.

Highly rate the service given by Angus and Wendy. Although in this most recent trip to Shetland we were keen to get on the water the weather wasn't right and they were very open and honest about the prospect of getting out. Have been out with them previously a number of times and although am a fairly experience sea kayaker would not head out into the unpredictable Shetland waters without a local guide. Highly recommended.
