        Most amazing place and hosts are lovely ,cant do enough for you.The location is a really good base for exploring Lewis and Harris .Christine and Don are the most welcoming happy people .If you want a lovely holiday to relax and enjoy the scenery cant get any better than here ,Wonderful holiday.If you have a busy life and need to get away from it all theres nowhere better ,Food for the soul

        The chalet was wonderful! Christine stopped by to welcome us and to answer any questions we had. The house was well equipped and clean. The views across the lake were beautiful, and it was warm enough in late May for us to sit outside to enjoy those views. From the chalet we easily traveled to Stornoway, Lews Castle, Callanish (and two of the satellite circles), the Butt of Lewis (this was my favorite hike), Carloway Mill (call before visiting), The Gearannan Village, and Dun Carloway. We were happily busy all week. Our week finished with the Queen's Jubilee being celebrated by the village children at North Lochs Community Center. We heard pipes, accordion, fiddles and more. Unfortunately we were unable to stay for the Ceilidh that night!
