Immaculate, comfortable and well provisioned cottage. Superb heating and hot water system with movement sensor control. All kitchen appliances and utensils that could be needed. Quality linen and towels and plenty of them. Good selection of maps and books with local information sheets to hand. Wonderful position and aspect for views across the loch and to distant mountains. Centrally located on the island making touring easy. Close proximity, with views, to all 3 sets of Callanish Stones. Wildlife and birdlife in abundance. Iain was at the property to greet us and give us a quick overview of the cottage, its history and of the surrounding area. The greeting was most welcome following our lengthy journey from North Yorkshire and our late arrival. My wife, son and I were delighted with the accommodation, our experience of staying in Iain's and Pana's excellent holiday cottage and of the beautiful Isle of Lewis and Harris. We found it very difficult indeed to leave this marvellous cottage and its beautiful, rugged location.

We had a lovely time at this very well looked after cottage. It was great to be somewhere at once so warm and comfortable and still surrounded by the atmosphere of the hills and the lochs and, of course, the Callanish stones...plus the local alpacas! Being fairly central, it's also a good place to explore Harris and Lewis by car, and Iain and Pana were very gracious hosts. Thanks very much for a great week.
