A rather muddy walk around Lindean loch today, it's still a beautiful place though. Swans and crested ducks on the water

Lindean is a small lock with nature reserve situated between Selkirk and St Boswells. The path around is about 1 mile. It can be very muddy after heavy rain. Good dog walk but you need to take them in a car (it is possible to walk part of Borders Abbey Way from Selkirk and get to Lindean). If you like running in the mud it is a good course as you can do 1 mile laps. A lot of swimmers use the loch. You need to swim from the boat house so you do not disturb wildlife. I paddle board here in the summer but it has now got very busy on the loch. Coldshields is better for paddle boards.
