        Spent a very comfortable night at this historic Grade II listed hotel in the middle of Selkirk. My single room had everything I needed from hairdryer to hospitality tray and somewhere to hang my clothes. Spotlessly white bed linens and towels and a good walk in electric shower. A very tasty breakfast was served in the pleasant breakfast room. On offer were cereals, fruit juices, yogurts, various cooked dishes, toast and the usual tea and coffee. At present the bar and restaurant are not open but guests are invited to bring in a takeaway or other food and drink to enjoy in the lounge area. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and I would recommend as a good value location.
