Nice selection of books and some lovely staff but the prices are very high. Second hand text books sometimes more expensive than new ones in Blackwells.

Rudest staff in town. I was going into the shop yesterday with my son and the lady minding the till shooed him out saying only three people were allowed. Immediately after an acquaintance of hers came by and was allowed in to chat, despite being the fourth customer inside. This was not the first time one of their staff was absurdly rude to me. They also mark up their academic books when term starts, sometimes charging more for an used copy than a new one. Avoid at all costs.

This was an absolutely dreadful shopping experience with an older man at the door screaming at people about only 3 people allowed in the shop, then screaming again about sanitiser. He seemed a bit neurotic abt it all and over the top. The second hand book, I bought was not cheap either. It was not a pleasant or welcoming environment and I will not be back. I have been avoiding shopping during covid, due to the restrictions etc and this experience has really knocked my confidence about returning to high street shops.

Second hand book store, with very inexpensive books. Theres a big section of Scottish books, plus a really interesting section of old books. Definitely worth a visit on the book shop tour of St Andrews!
