Tbh my wife had just visited I J Mellis and it was apparently cheese night now. ( I just wanted a couple of scotch eggs but hey ho ! )
I had no idea what I'd been sent to buy to go with the cheese thingy evening .
I had a price point for one bottle and it was to go with cheese .
I just admitted I had no clue so asked for their recommendations .
The red wine recommended chilled for 15/20 mins in the fridge would work with the wild cheese board my wife bought,
AND
I could've had three bottles for my budget......I bought two .
Great advice and excellent knowledge.
Didn't get through all the cheese, but I should've bought three bottles.
I will drop in each time I'm passing from now on, a true find.
