Spent 300 on a consultation and getting insoles made and it actually made my foot worse - ended up with bruising on the top of my foot which I never had before and my right foot, which was fine before started hurting with them. I was told insoles or a cortisone injection were my only options unless I was willing to pay for a private ultrasound as the NHS dont do them - went to my GP after failing here and was told Ill book you in for and ultrasound, I said I was told NHS didnt do them and asked if this was a new thing? No was the answer, always provided them. Shambolic organisation too, often dont answer phone (during my consultation the phones rang constantly and were ignored) when chasing insoles, said theyd email with updates and never did. I gave alternative emails, was told theyd email me straight away, still havent received any emails from them. Was told theyd type me a letter, a sentence, I needed to hire a golf buggy in St Andrews as I was taking my 16 year old nephew out, told me itd be ready 1st thing only to be called at 8:40 on the day by the receptionist to say that she didnt have time to type me a sentence confirming I had a bad foot! Gave them 300 for something that is all but useless, happy to take my money, but after promising me a very short note thatd take all of 2 mins to type, call me just before Im due to collect to say sorry but no. My advice, keep your money and wait a wee bit longer for NHS.
