The location across from the ruins of the cathedral is phenomenal. The owners and their staff are both professional and solicitous. They gave good insight into the best things to see and do in St. Andrew's. They also know well all of the great restaurants. Our son will start at the Uni in the fall and they provided a wealth of practical advice for him. A great establishment!

We had a confirmed reservation that was made in August 2021 and traded multiple emails with Jerry and Linda. We planned our whole 30th Anniversary around this and were so excited to be at the British Open! We had tickets, dinner reservations but most importantly a stay booked at Castlemount. When we booked our stay they responded they did not want us to pay in advance but wanted our credit card information to confirm the booking and wanted us to pay in pounds at their B&B when we arrived. We provided the information and they responded back to confirm our stay. I called a few days ago to clarify about parking and spoke to first Jerry and then Linda. She was extremely rude said no no you dont have a reservation! I said I did and also the confirmation from them. Linda said thats not possible and got more upset. I reminded her we were celebrating our 30th anniversary. I also explained that we had traded many correspondences and we had a flight from Boston and purchased tickets.I could hear Jerry in the background giving some kind of information to Linda. Linda became more and more upset yelled at me said it was a bot that did this and there was no reservation! I tried again to discuss my reservation with her but she said I have to go its dinner time and rudely hung up. We paid thousands of dollars for a special trip that we cant go on for our 30th anniversary and her fraudulent behavior and rude communication was ghastly. As a front line medical social worker I have encountered many difficult and challenging people but none so evil and clearly able to lie and cheat I can only guess just to get more money!
