MacArthurs - Fisher & Donaldson

This was my first time in this cafe. I didn't even know it existed but I was really impressed with the place. It seems a popular place by the amount of customers coming and going. They offer a good range of food. I had the lentil soup, which was delicious, and my wife had the soup of the day, Thai chicken, which she thoroughly enjoyed. They had a selection of their beautiful cakes. I had a fudge doughnut, my favourite, and the meringues looked lovely too. Staff were ever so friendly and I can't recommend the place highly enough! Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair accessible toilet through the back and the main cafe was all open plan.

As a bakery it's survived a long time but I personally think their products are overrated. Good luck to them but as a caf I don't think it can compete - coffee isn't up to the standard of the likes of Costa (I try to avoid chains but they are the coffee benchmark), cakes are too sweet and it's difficult to have a conversation as it's noisy. Friendly staff mind .
