To be honest, any dealings I have had with Eastvale Resource Centre - from reception/admin staff to psychologists/Dr, I have always been met with an empathetic approach and caring manner. Of course the service is overwhelemed like everywhere else and I am on a waiting list for psychology but I have been kept updated and staff are helpful when I have chased things up. Thank you.

Absolutely hopeless, they don't seem to want to help, the reception staff are rude and don't pass on messages, end up running around for weeks trying to chase an appointment time, all the while your mental health deteriorates due to the added stress of knowing you don't have this place for support. Needs a massive overhaul of service and practices, the therapist herself was helpful, when I could get to speak to her, but overall a bad service for people with problems who require urgent care.

I am at a point I feel hopeless. Was told OT would be like a transition from trauma therapy to help me get out and about but all the OT did was refer me to world of work and then nothing. Psychiatrist told me he'd chase up why I had not heard back, still nothing. 6 months later I find out I am back on the waiting list because the OT left. I have now contacted my local councillor to get involved in the New Year because I don't know what else to do and feel like giving up

They don't take you seriously and just want to tick a box and get you off their books. If they put the effort into helping people instead of fobbing everyone off their workload wouldn't be as high because people wouldn't need to return. Reception staff are terrible people, I don't know how they sleep at night, but the mental health nurses I've spoken to have been very good. I guess they're overwhelmed and have low budget to stretch out making the overall service awful. It's a fob off service where it's up to you not to kill yourself. It's for them to cover themselves by showing that you were referred and they "tried". Mental health will always be in the dark ages
