    David was very helpful and quoted a fair price for the work required to do my attic conversion and received a contract . Unfortunately this is as far as it got regarding customer service and professionalism. After paying a deposit to secure a start date I was emailed 4 days before the job was to start to say that the roofer had been injured and I had three options, 1 to delay for 3 weeks, 2 to carry on but not do roofing work( which in David's words was silly as it would be dark as roof window couldn't be put in, even though I had 3 other roof windows already installed) and 3 get a refund. I emailed back saying that delaying was not an option as furniture etc. had been put in storage and house reorganised to allow work to start. I called many times to say I had organised a roofer( why David could not do this?)but got no reply at all and had to wait till the morning of the start date to see if DGS workmen would turn up. No surprise they didn't and within 5 minutes of emailing my request of my deposit back, I did receive it in my bank account. So not a total cowboy. I managed to get the work done by proper tradesmen. I would not even give DGS one star but need to to give review. Absolutely shocking David Sumner.
