Waterfront Hotel

Rip off merchants. DO NOT BOOK at this HOTEL Becareful with this hotel. And there a few around with different names but the same set up. Expedia made an error and I when I realised what has happened I contacted that hotel and Expedia. They refused to refund me. The error was dates. Both of them were blaming each other. And I have emails from both parties as evidence. Then the hotel refused to refund the booking or cancel the booking. The hotel is completely empty and they have not refunded me anything. I have copied their trait and also filed a County Court claim of 790.00 That will teach them a lesson. Even if I lose , I will costed them several thousand in defending themselves. Do not book with this hotel group and expedia. When something goes wrong . They will blame you and this hotel group never has any management on duty. And you have to email them . Then they take 24 hours to respond

Great service people friendly and very proud rooms clean and view of harbour great slight downfall toilet in room to cramped otherwise great Rooms: Small neat clean and great view good value..small concern toilet cramped in corner of bathroom which itself is very small but very clean. Parking a small issue as first come first served..not good for disabled as no lifts to rooms and parking issues ..not hotels problem..

I don't like giving bad reviews, but this is an honest one . Room unbelievable small and should be a single. Likewise bathroom is far to small glad I'm only a size 12 or I wouldn't have got in there! The toilet was trickling all night, so had to sleep with head under the pillar to shut out the noise. The fire alarm went off at about 9.30pm no safety lights and had to use phone to assist my husband and I and other guests down the dark staircase. This could have been very scary. It was the only way out too, not too good if there was a fire on the staircase. Young man from Harbour hotel came asked for our keys and went into the building...not a good thing to do if the building had actually been on fire. He checked and said all was ok even though lights had not come back on and a bulb also blew. None of this very conductive to a relaxing night. No fire service came, or anyone to check electrics etc ..rather a worry and health and safety concern. No apologies! So not the best night. Kettle switched itself on and off! Room in need of some TLC, but it was clean. Breakfast was ok. But really sorry we won't go back. Although Portpartick is a lovely little place.
