The first and only previous time that I had visited Coronation Park, Port Glasgow, was aged 4, with my mum, back in November 1968 to view the sea trials of QE2. After almost 55 years it was high time that I made a return trip. The Park has over the years been greatly improved and added to. It is now part of route along The Clyde Coastal Path. There are play areas, walkways, great views across the Clyde and the newest additions are the Shipbuilders Statues. If you take a walk along the coastal path towards Greenock, on Mirren's Shore (clearly not named by a Morton fan) then you will pass Fergus Monk's garage with its murals and various other artworks brightening up the shoreline.

A nice park for a walk with the kids to the park. 2 parks split for the younger and older ones.

Nice views of the river clyde. It could be doing with a bit better upkeep of the slip for the boats though as it's extremely slippy at times.
