        Ample parking close by to the station. Reasonable facilities. Clean, well maintained and doesn't really get crowded. There is a manned ticket office and a number of other ticket vending machines. There are toilets on only one side of the tracks, next to the ticket office. The toilets were spotlessly clean and in perfect working order. There are enclosed waiting rooms on each platform. I overheard the lady behind the counter answering questions from other passengers and she seemed to be providing great customer service, offering friendly advice.

        Helen in the ticket office is an example of working far beyond her duty. She is exceptional on advising on tickets and all aspects of travelling by train and has great patience. My friend and I cannot convey how much she has helped us. She has made our trip to York in November a great deal easier than we anticipated. Great big thanks Helen.
