Previous dentist left. I had a treatment plan for 3 crown. My first appointment my new dentist was good and profffesional and was pain free and very nice to approach but if said tooth was always down for a crown why did she spend a 50 min appointment filling 3 quarters of the tooth. The plan I have is now being changed and is to include and extraction that my previous dentist had prepped for a crown and I need to wait for a bridge. I get told one thing and then the receptionist wasn't listening to me and what I had the issue of why waste an appointment and I'm on esa so iv a threshold to my treatment. A very good dentist I had and I can't bring him in to tell new dentist what his plan was. Iv been with this dentist on an of of for 20 years or more and they have let there best dentist leave. Very dissapimtmemt at the way this has been handled. Why would you fill a front tooth that was left for a crown or cap why would you repair that tooth therefor will increase threshold. What is the threshold amount. I'm going to find out what is. I'll call dentist later. I'm a vehicle repairer and I feel like just repairing it myself. I would if I had there equipment They have a good review but that's easy to achieve. Iv never felt welcome in that dentist. Some people can't appreciate anxiety or depression or see past the forest for the trees. Im not the only one to say that. Everyone I know says the same. One Dentist is dentist is brutal and causes ot of after pain upto two weeks after a simple tooth extraction. She had used my gum to leaver the tooth up and that squashed the gum line bruising it badly for 2 weeks. I changed dentist in the practice and he was great never even felt a tooth extraction. Best dentist iv had Dr Colin Gordon.

Ok. Back at the dentist today for the first time in 2 years (COVID). Some issues with my teeth in the interim. Anxious dental patient anyway but today more so. However, no need. The practice is very COVID aware. Greeted warmly and welcomed at reception by the team and had only to sit for a couple of minutes till my dentist was ready for me. New dentist too as previous had left. Harvey and the dental nursing team, lovely too. Friendly, smiling, welcoming. Makes all the difference to patients. All very patient-centred. Offering information and options to allow me to make informed decisions about treatment. Slick process too. By the time Harvey had talked me through the treatment plan and accompanied me to reception afterwards (nice touch btw) the dental nursing team had emailed it to reception colleagues who printed it off aand had it ready for me to take away Impressive. Thanks to the whole team today and to the practice lead for their help.
