Sadly John of H&S taxis has either not heard or does not recognise this definition, instead preferring to charge excessive fares to transport passengers no distance at all.
As disruptive as this business plan is, I cannot see Uber adopting such novel practices any time soon. Disrupting your passengers evenings through failing to turn up despite being pre paid generally illicits ill feeling and poor ratings. Welcome to the 21st century.
