I am a pensioner living on the basic state pension plus a small private pension, I used to contribute to food banks locally believing they were used by needy people probably down on their luck. Apalled at hearing on radio 2 a policewoman saying that many of her colleagues earning in excess of 34k were using foodbanks. This is nothing but greed and will discourage people from contributing.
