I would highly recommend Max to anyone. His relaxed, calm approach made me feel completely at ease and he is a fountain of knowledge. After just one meeting I feel more confident and positive in training my dog and look forward to what she will achieve soon! Max is understanding and caters to your individual needs and takes the time to really understand your dog. I genuinely learned more in our 2 hour session than I have searching online for months! Thank you Max!

Max has been such a pleasure to work with. Me and my partner were needing advice and training techniques for Teddy, our 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who had recently become reactive to other dogs on walks.. Max was quick to divise a plan of action and showed us lots of techniques that changed our way of thinking and put us at ease right away which has made life for us and Teddy so much better. We really can't thank him enough for his help and he has continued to support us months after our session!

We shared a fantastic day with Max. From the moment he first got in contact with us through LRRS he was so kind. Max came to our home with no judgement and no preconceptions. He was kind and gentle with our 20month old black lab and gained her trust quickly - no easy task with this girl as shes been let down badly by previous behaviourists. He was also very kind and understanding with us as anxious and overwhelmed owners. Max assessed luna so accurately and wasnt interested in just giving printed sheets of instructions - he trudged up a muddy field with us to see Luna walk, learn and play and showed us hands on how to work WITH our girl. We are so greatful for Maxs kindness, his patience and his energy. We were seriously considering re homing our girl until Max helped us to understand her, advocate for her and train her in a way which is meaningful to her.

Max really helped in 2021 when my dog started displaying very complex resource guarding/ aggression issues as an adolescent. Above and beyond the training techniques and exercises offered, he was a much-needed calming force who, fundamentally, helped me to understand what my dog was thinking and that, really, we just needed to focus on what my dog needed rather than what I wanted my dog to be like. My dog will never be the most affectionate or pliable pet that is up for a cuddle at all times. But I can finally say that we have a really strong bond and trust, and that training and going on adventures with him is the highlight of my day. I could not imagine last year that my dog could be so well behaved and calm, and it would have been impossible to get to this stage without Max help. Im so grateful for that.

I have been taking our Border Collie to sessions with Max for almost a year, starting when he was just a puppy. We were hoping to proactively work on his re -call and general obedience. We chose Max due to his experience with working breeds, and lots of positive recommendations! We found the sessions with Max to be really practical and relaxed; working on training behaviours that will be useful in the real world and with lots of advice on managing breed specific issues as they arise. Our dog genuinely really enjoys going to the training sessions! We credit Max entirely with the fact we have an obedient wee dog, that we can relax and enjoy off lead walks with in any environment!
