If there was a minus star for this, I'd be whacking this on. Paid nearly 3000 for a car from here, got it home. Head unit doesn't work. Breaks were squeaking all the way home. Slow puncture. Bumper at front coming loose-looks like a cut and shut or worse still, someone's tried to repair it themselves after an accident. There was no parcel shelf (had to buy that myself). Drivers door was squeaking when I opened and closed it (again, paid to repair out of my own pocket). So a car that already cost me 3000 had now cost me double. These people do not give a flying f#@k what they sell you. Do not use. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Bought a vehicle that I explained was for a new driver, seemed OK on test drive but when I took it for a service (elsewhere) I came back with a list of defects - a good majority meaning it wouldn't pass its next MOT. The key here is to act within 14 days of purchase, which I did. I spoke to Trading Standards (Consumer Advice Scotland) who provided me with a template letter to send - I sent this recorded and was contacted by one of the owners - quite abrasive, and told me I could've got the car checked by them, and I shouldn't have sent a recorded letter. To be fair to Abercorn - they did offer a full refund or repair, and I opted to have the vehicle repaired. I took it to them with a list and they completed some of the repairs (some I agreed not to have them complete, others they did out of goodwill). My experience was mixed - I wouldn't necessarily return to buy again from them without an independent mechanic in tow to check the vehicle, but I have to give them credit for - albeit with a bit of attitude - responding appropriately and repairing the car. Just make sure you act within 14 days of purchase and know your rights. I'm sure that with a garage onsite Abercorn could run pre-sales checks on cars to reduce the amount of unhappy customers however they seem to operate on a 'get it in - turn it around and get rid' policy which seems to be what bites them the most, looking at the reviews. Caveat Emptor!

Again, do not go here to buy what you think is a bagain. I bought a vaxual astra which I was assured was a great wee car and reliable and being desperate, I trusted these people because ,well I needed a car urgently. On my 1st long journey (40 mile) the car cut out and stopped (turned out to be the water pump leaking). Called them and they came and picked up the car with apologies. Told me they had relaced the pump. They didnt. Took the car today to the garage because the brakes were grinding (only had it 6 weeks) and they asked if I wanted a pre mot. The result is Ive been driving a death trap. An expensive death trap. An illegal deathtrap. I am going to sue them. Thankfully I am insured for this. Just looked at the other reviews and I Wish I had read them. In my opinion, their fake reviews are laughable. They are the best of the best !!!!! i dont unerstand how they are still in business but i am reportning them.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. EXTREMELY RUDE AND DODGY once confronted about problems. Bought my first car a Nissan micra from here 4-5 weeks ago, at the point of selling they claimed the car was fine and road worthy and they gave me a new MOT with the car. Didnt think much of it. First few days the battery had problems. Engine light was on and clutch engine was very rattly, they said its just normal. Ignored it. Now while driving on the motorway, the gearbox failed. I got off safely only god knows how. Told them and they said they would check it out on next thursday. Hence I waited and called back on the day they said to. Then they acted like they didnt remember what I was talking about and said now its been more than 4-5 weeks so they cant do anything. They sold me a dangerous vehicle while claiming no responsibility. Hope they dont treat other customers and buyers like this. CHECK YOUR CAR PROPERLY BEFORE YOU BUY BECAUSE THEY DONT CARE AFTER THEY GET PAID.
