Its been around 3 weeks since my bike fit so have been waiting to write a review until i had followed Garry's advice to get a shorter stem, which went missing in the post twice! After 2 weeks i was more than happy, and now with a further week with the shorter stem i am even more happy as both my distance and power has increased and all with no further pain or injury! I was recommended Garry by a friend who does Ironman events and triathlons but even though i just go and ride indoors and outdoors just to keep fit and destress i cannot recommend Garry enough! Will definitely by back in the new year to check everything over and bring a new bike to get properly fitted.

I got in contact with Garry after having a bike fit done perviously at a different shop that led to more pain. So I booked in with Garry for a shoe fit first of all and then booked in for a bike fit. Both experiences were spot on. The fit was in a different league compared to my one pervious. You might fit people doing fits slightly cheaper but I highly doubt they are anywhere near the standard of Garry's. Highly recommend, best money I've spent on my bike.

Having 2 previous fits carried out on my bike from different fitters I was just never comfortable and constantly numb or with bad saddle sores. The final straw before contacting Garry was an injury from the bike in my hamstring/hip right side. After organising a comprehensive bike fit from him I was sent a very informitive pack to help in advance with anything I need to bring on the day, info on his process and a questionaire about relevant info he needs from me. The bike fit itself was very different from what I had previously with attention to detail in all the areas that were brushed over in the first fits I had with others. Turns out I have had basically everything changed saddle being almost 40mm to high, about 60mm to far back (needed a trek madone seatpost to fix), handlebar width down 40mm, foot correction angle changed one side and height adjusted in the other (my power peddles went from 47-48%/52-53% to a perfect 50%/50% under load for 1.5hrs which was not normal for me. I also purchased a saddle after trying about 20 myself ...i could never get it right. Constant discomfort, saddle sores on one side and numbness after 15 mins. Doing 1.5hr sessions now and nothing, looking forward to getting back to long days and only carimg about sore legs. So in my honest oppinion garry has it down to an art , I would reccomend garry to anyone and have done it already. Alot talk the talk with the way things should be on the bike with fancy guages or metrics but its all window dressing ive seen as far as fit goes but he knows exactly whats needed and the small tweaks he even fine tuned for me on a return visit (when i brought in my new seatpost/bars) Thanks again, until the next one

If, like me, youve watched every YouTube video there is regarding bike sizing / bike fit / position / saddle height and youve convinced yourself to buy every pedal / seatpost / saddle / handlebar / shoe / bike(!) combination and its all still uncomfortable STOP. Just go and see Garry. You will save yourself time (decades) and money (sorry Wiggle) in the long run. I have spent years contorting myself in to various positions on the bike and essentially moving my discomfort from one body part to the next. Garry spent a considerable time understanding my history and evaluating my physical (lack of) abilities before moving on to my position on the bike. He then patiently made several changes to my position over quite a period of time observing me pedalling. I left Garrys studio with a bike that felt like a different one. This had a different stem (one of my collection that I had brought with me) and a new saddle. I also had a new pair of shoes. Hes just sold you those bits to bump the price up you say. Absolutely not - the items I purchased could not have been sourced cheaper online. In addition, I was able to actually try several variations of saddles and shoes in different sizes which were then set up specifically for me. Could you have done that yourself after buying online? As always the proof is in the pudding. My bike just feels better. Ive found myself out on rides thinking if I turn along here, I could add on a few more miles just for fun. Ive never done that before. I also understand myself and my body a bit more. Youll find out the whole fitting experience is far more that just jump on and well move a few things. In short, money well spent and it was good fun and enlightening. Im off now to put two tennis balls in a sock - youll find out why! Thanks.
