Alexandra Apartments

Stayed in the Muthu Alexandra Hotel this weekend from Thursday to Sunday. Service & hotel great as usual. Only issue was had no hot water in shower when we tried on Friday. Local plumbers had to be called in the end & the plumber managed to sort it. Had to turn bath taps on till you got hot water & then turn shower on & turn bath tap off. We actually went one better & bypassed all that in the end. Something the hotel could do is maybe leave instructions to guests on how to use those particular bath/shower mixer taps.

(Original) Hotel z adnym widokiem bardzo dobrze pooony, blisko do centrum miasta. Jest basen i steam room. Parking jeden z przodu drugi z tyu. Jest te winda. Cena za osob zawiera niadanie (smaczny bekon). Miy, pomocny personel. Wedug mnie czas tam si tam zatrzyma w latach '90. Wymiana mebli i drzwi do pokoi niezbdna.

The hotel is within walking distance of Oban Town centre. The room we stayed in was comfortable and had its own radiator which could be adjusted to the required temp. We had an issue with the coffee machine which was reported but not fixed. The room was kept clean and although the coffee machine did not work sachets of coffee, milk and packets of biscuits were left each day. The staff were friendly, the breakfast had a large variety of choice including cooked food. We only went to the restaurant at night on two of our nights, the food was superb . On the first night my wife was insulted by a long term resident who was talking to another couple but she spoke in a loud voice stating that my wife was on her fith course of food and this was over eating infact she was only on her second and frankly with the portions you would not eat that much. She further then decided to cause further offence talking about us buying a bottle of wine and the fact that a glass is all that is needed meaning we had too much. So we tend to buy a bottle as it usually works out cheaper. The evening went on, I restrained myself from getting up and causing a scene. A complaint was made to the staff however the outcome is unknown.
