Below par by a long way. I am a tourist and have toured for Scotland for over 40 years. No wonder that I happened to have a ten-pound note left in my purse from a previous year. New ones had been issued and the shops would not accept them any more and referred me to a bank to get it changed to a new one. So, I entered this branch and handed over the old one and was asked by a young clerk if I was a customer, which I - as a tourist - declined. I wanted to get ONE ten-pound note changed, not a suitcase full of them. Just one note. She was getting all regimental and in the end I had to leave the premises. This is outrageous. I definitely don't get on better with this Royal Bank. Thank you. I will say that on any portal that I can find. The nice long serving lady at the Ullapool branch was a lot more helpful and considerate to me in an emergency situation, I have to admit. Different story.

Been banking with them for years, as has my partners and my parents before us. Excellent service from a friendly and helpful team. Their van service to the islands is a hugely appreciated one in this time of cutbacks to front line banking
