I'm sure most tours by Turus Mara are a success and enjoyable, unfortunately we weren't on one of these tours. The crew were irresponsible and dangerous. The boat was full of vomiting passengers due to the weather. I held the toilet door shut with my foot as my eldest child was sick, and at the same time my 5 year old was being sick into a bag on my knee. My wife was trying to avoid vomiting on the upper deck. 80% of the boat were the same. The crew should have identified the risk, explained that the water was turbulent and offered an alternative option. Instead, the most we were told was that we couldn't dock at Staffa. Boat tours elsewhere make the risks clear and offer anti sickness tablets if you decide to go ahead anyway. It seemed the crew decided to put profit over customer experience and were determined to make the tour leave, despite it being evident it was unsafe. One woman said she almost fell overboard on the upper deck. I will be back to Mull but Turus Mara is a company I would avoid. Unfortunately you don't know what the weather will be like when you book and you can't ask for a refund unless the tour doesn't go ahead. For me, the company needs to make the risks clear - they could have kept my money and I wouldn't care if it meant my children weren't subjected to 3 hours of illness.
