A tiny shop but incredibly well stocked, with a really good selection of foods including gluten free. Way better than I had imagined it could be in such a small island. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

It depends on the weather obviously but Iona is worth the cheap ferry fare across. Holden sands the abbey and graveyard and lots of little places trying to do well. Lets great when It rains. Free car park just a bit up from the ferry terminal and electric charging point too

The Isle of Iona is a beautiful, historic, oldest and was in the past one of the most religious hubs in Europe. The history is fascinating and I learned a lot when visiting the Iona Abbey and Museum as there were consistent attacks from the Vikings that changed the way of living at the time as well as the architecture of the island; it is not big but you can easily spend a couple of times in the Iona Abbey and then visit the Heritage Centre, Iona Nunnery (now in ruins) or just walk around the beautiful beaches.
