Fantastic place , Gillian booked us in at short notice because of the Iona ferry being cancelled due to the bad weather Gillian was really helpful and welcoming We would certainly recommend Ardness House to anyone looking to stay on the Isle of Mull Thanks again Will definitely be back

Really kind hearted Gillian hosted us for 2 nights. The breakfast was lovely and the host was very accomodating. The view from this place is AMAZING! A 10 min drive to the ferry terminal to Iona and your starting point for staffa. The rooms and bathroom was really clean and she provided us with enough dry eats and cookies for more than the trip.

We booked 3 nights for the double and a twin rooms with the separate bathroom. The double room particularly is small so no space for a suitcase. Our main problem was the mattress on the double bed. It was simply worn out, so we could feel the springs. We informed the host but we were told we were the first ones to complain about it. We had to ask for a second duvet to use as a mattress top liner which made it bearable on the last night. (On this holiday we stayed at 6 other places and we had no complaint about their beds, so we are not odd in seeking acceptable bed comfort). The firedoor on each room is noisy if anyone goes to the bathroom at night. So overall we weren't happy with our stay and we wouldn't go back there on our next visit to Mull.
