Staff always very helpful and friendly - I've been there three times now. Two years ago I saw a photo in the ring binder that looked like my relative - standing with two other men - the curator said he knew one was a Munro - Well, over the past few weeks I've been doing the family tree with a vengeance and think I now know who all three are.... pity I can't get up there to confirm!! How frustrating!!! Can't wait to get back. Loads of family tree resources in there!

Run by local people telling the slate mines story. Plenty of other objects to satisfy the interest of most people.
