Craig Villa Guest House

What a delight. We stayed in Ethels Coorie Doon and it was perfect. We arrived to a lovely welcome from Taryn and found treats for our dogs and a lovely bottle of Prosecco for us humans in our shepherds hut. It was warm, cosy and well equipped. We really loved the little extra touches we found throughout our stay, including hot chocolate, hot water bottles and a folder full of information to help us during our stay. We were really lucky and had sunshine and clear skies. We loved sitting out on the wooden chairs at night to watch the stars. We enjoyed the community garden close by and found the recommended emerald pool which was stunning. I even braved the water! We spent a great day in Oban, eating fresh fish (wow) and went on a superb boat trip during the afternoon. Exquisite scenery took our breath away and new memories to take away with us. Craig's Villa is tucked away in a quaint little village and is surrounded by spectacular views and a community of amazing people. Beautiful views of Munros and highlands surround the villa. It's the real way to discover Scotland. There are lots of nearby viewpoints, old castles, highland coos (hairy cows), restaurants, and golf (Dalmally Golf Club). The train station is nearby as well if you're planning on making a trip to other major cities, tickets can be easily purchased via the mobile site. Taryn and Ewan are loving and caring hosts that looked after us like their own making sure we had fresh linens and towels. The food was phenomenal and Craig's Villa is filled with tons of charm and love. We spent lots of our downtime hanging out in the cozy heated lounge listening to records that gave us that authentic Scottish feel with its decor. The hot tub and whiskey barrel cold plunge were the icing on the cake. Don't let Ewan per-pressure you into a barrel or jump into a cold loch! It was our first time in Scotland and would 11/10 recommend this as a place to stay during your visit for families, single travelers, or couples! Lovely weekend stay with friends and family at Craig Villa Guest House. Beautiful setting and lovely, clean rooms. Ewan and Taryn were great hosts. Nothing was a problem to them. Delicious breakfast selection. Lovely lounge room to relax in after nice walks. Lots of information on things to do around the area. Would definitely recommend. We will definitely visit again

Just returned from a brilliant weekend staying at Craig Villa with a group of friends. The hosts were very friendly & welcoming & could not have been more attentive ensuring we had everything we needed. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a stunning outlook. Excellent cooked breakfast served each morning as requested. We are looking forward to our next stay here.
