The Old Cottage Bed and Breakfast

Absolutely wonderful B&B. The hosts are lovely and very hospitable. The rooms are beautiful with great beds and decorated with a stunning eye for detail. There is a shared living room with delightful easy chairs, a wood stove and an enormous collections of books, both for entertainment as for information about the surroundings. And the breakfast... just delicious and so extensive (multiple options, both hot and cold, local jams & marmalades, etc.). The B&B is located at a 5 min. walk form the coast with stunning views. For those driving an electric car: There is a charging point at the hotel nextdoor (2 min. walk). Our only regret was that we had such a short time to spend here.

Darren and Karen are the kindest hosts. We kept in touch to let them know about our late arrival. When we arrived they made us feel so welcome and helped give us local recommendations. The communal sitting room is comfortable with sofas and books to relax. Breakfast was beyond delicious with so many options (chosen the night before on a menu). The berries were super fresh and the eggs delicious. They give so much attention to detail we felt so relaxed and happy to stay here.

Beautiful place! The breakfast was amazing as well as the view. Super cozy and quiet, feels like a safe haven. Darren and Karen really made our stay unforgettable. They were kind enough to book us dining reservations + made plenty of arrangements to help us get our luggage after it had stayed back home at the airport. They gave us many recommendations and clearly knew the area very well. It was so lovely! We definitely recommend staying there, its so worth it!
