Nothing like it used to be. We would visit 3-4 times a year for the past 25+ years and have food, the visitor centre was massive and had thousands of gifts, it 'USED' to be the most visited place in Scotland, since the fire, that's soon dropped into oblivion, now all we have is a small cafe and almost non existant shop, how in gods name they thought this was a suitable replacement amazes me, I've been twice in the past 3 years and i wont be back again, I honestly thought the Highland people would capitalise on what was superb.... Instead it's a pathetic attempt and misses the mark by a million miles.. .. If the highland people/council was it to be back at the top of the most visited attraction, make the center 3 times bigger, have a good, well stocked shop, and make it like it ued to be!!.... Definitely one of the biggest let downs in the Highlands.

Always loved it here even before health & safety dug its nose in the viewing point. But cafe is lush & watching the salmon jump is amazing & the forest walls are great

I came across this place on a drive up to the far north and it was an ideal spot for a break. The visitors centre is so well presented, clean, modern and in keeping with the aesthetic of the area. Some fantastic information signs around telling you all about the local area and the river and the history of salmon fishing, and electric car charging points too. There's lots for kids to do and great walks through the woodlands. Highlight is the viewing platform for the river which late summer into autumn allows you to see Salmon jumping up the falls.
