(Translated by Google) On a September cruise stopping in Invergordon we didn't want to miss Scotland. However, a tour organized by the shipping company was out of the question for us, so when we searched the internet, we came across Ardgay Bespoke Tours. The contact was easy and we quickly came to an agreement. Our wish was to see Scotland from a side where normally there is no mass tourism and the car had to be spacious enough as we are not the smallest. We disembarked on time and yet Brigitte was already waiting for us with a sign with our names on it and Frank was waiting nearby with his car. After a short hello we set off for Dornoch. There we stopped at Cocoa Mountain and over a cozy cup of cocoa we introduced ourselves and discussed the daily routine. We also took the opportunity to visit Dornoch Cathedral an inconspicuous church from the outside but impressive from the inside with beautiful windows. From there we went to Skelbo Castle, from where you could watch the seals at Skelbo Beach. Of course, highlanders and sheep could not be missing on this path. Then we went "across the field" - past a hermitage - to the Falls of Shin, where we got the opportunity to visit smaller waterfalls that we couldn't see from the road. After we also saw the salmon jumping, we had a delicious lunch snack. We continued to Carbisdale Castle. Unfortunately, the time was too limited to visit the castle from the inside. Via Ardgay, the viewpoints Struie Hill and Dornoch Firth Viewpoint - from where we could say goodbye to Scotland again - and past Glenmorangie we went back to the port, where we got back to our ship on time. It was an impressive day and we would do it again. Gladly longer if it arises during a holiday. Brigitte and Frank are two absolutely lovable people with immense knowledge about the country and its people, they know how to make this interesting for everyone and are available to answer any questions. Eine von der Reederei organisierte Tour kam fr uns aber nicht in Frage und so sind wir, bei unserer Suche im Internet, auf Ardgay Bespoke Tours gestossen. Die Kontaktaufnahme war problemlos und wir wurden uns schnell einig. Unser Wunsch war Schottland von einer Seite zu sehen, wo normal kein Massentourismus herrscht und das Auto musste gerumig genug sein, da wir nicht die kleinsten sind. Wir gingen pnktlichst von Bord und trotzdem erwartete uns Brigitte schon mit einem Schild, wo unsere Namen draufstanden und Frank wartete mit dem Auto in der Nhe. Nach einem kurzen Hallo ging es los nach Dornoch. Dort machten wir Halt bei Cocoa Moutain und bei einer gemtlichen Tasse Kakao stellten wir uns noch einmal richtig vor und besprachen den Tagesablauf. Bei der Gelegenheit besichtigten wir auch gleich Dornoch Cathedral eine von aussen unscheinbare, aber dafr von innen beeindruckende Kirche mit wunderschnen Fenstern. Von da aus ging es nach Skelbo Castle, von wo aus man die Robben am Skelbo Beach beobachten konnte. Auch Highlander und Schafe durften auf diesem Weg natrlich nicht fehlen. Danach ging es quer Beet - vorbei an einer Eremitage - zu den Falls of Shin, wobei wir zwischendurch die Gelegenheit bekamen, von der Strasse nicht einzusehende, kleinere Wasserflle zu besuchen. Nachdem wir auch noch die Lachse haben springen sehen, gab es erstmal einen leckeren Mittagssnack. Weiter ging es nach Carbisdale Castle. Leider war die Zeit zu begrenzt, das Schloss auch von innen zu besuchen. ber Ardgay, die Aussichtspunkte Struie Hill und Dornoch Firth Viewpoint von wo aus wir uns nochmal von Schottland verabschieden konnten und vorbei an Glenmorangie ging es zurck zum Hafen, wo wir pnktlich wieder an unserem Schiff ankamen. Es war ein eindrucksvoller Tag und wir wrden es genauso wieder machen. Gerne auch lnger, wenn es sich in einem Urlaub mal ergibt. Brigitte und Frank sind zwei absolut liebenswerte Menschen mit einem immensen Wissen ber Land und Leute, wissen dieses fr jeden interessant rber zu bringen und stehen auf alle Fragen Rede und Antwort.
