Amazing hosts very welcoming! Cottage - an old historic build has been beautifully renovated, got all modcons. Sauna and hot tub done to full spec. Views are spectacular! Nice, quiet and peaceful area to relax! Noteworthy details: Arrived on Sunday, Spa shop Lochinver shuts at 6.00 so couldn't get any groceries until Mon. In the week it shuts at 6.30. Host very kindly gave us some longlife milk!

This mine and my wife's third visit to Mountview over the last 6 years. Twice in Saorsa and once in the Pod. We absolutely love Lochinver and it's our escape from the stress of home life. Roy and Suzie really put the time and effort into making sure their lovely accommodation is of the highest standards with all the nice little touches that make it feel like a home from home. We enjoyed an incredible stay at Mountview, it really was just the tonic we needed to unwind and explore the beautiful Lochinver. The home was so comfortable and well equipped, and the perfect balance of being private and secluded, but close enough to beautiful walks from the doorstep, and amenities in the village. In winter it is quiet (exactly what we wanted) and managed to spot so much wildlife, from the house and beyond, including a Golden Eagle. The house was immaculate, so warm and cosy, with all useful information to hand. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars was heaven. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
