        It is the perfect place to take time out and reflect if you want a solo trip, but is also good to enjoy with a partner/ or friend. Fab views and fantastic beaches. Little shop and chip shop on opposite campsite but main shops/ eateries in Lochinver. I travelled to the spot via public transport and then hired a bike to get around, but to check out the beauty of west coast Scotland fully a car is required. The hosts of Hillhead are wonderful, so friendly, helpful and informative. And my caravan was perfect for what I needed.

        We stayed for the last week in May, just after the lifting of restrictions, our 5th visit. Maysie could not have been more helpful, and the caravans were clean and comfortable, and, of course, adjacent to the beautiful beach. (We just missed a wedding on the sands) A journey of 400 miles was soon forgotten when we saw hundreds of seals, red deer and a pine marten. A memorable holiday, thanks Maysie and Durrant.
