This is the furthest north weve ever been; definitely worth the trip up. Fantastic accommodation at The Smithy House in Stoer, which is right on the NC500, wonderful host and stunning scenery. The beaches are amazing. Beautiful white sand and clear water. Try the local food, we were very pleasantly surprised. We ate pizza from the local Jammery, fish and chips from the Catch Toll in Clachtoll and the pie (I had spicy butternut, sweet potato and goats cheese) from the Lochinver Larder is the best Ive ever tasted. Everywhere you look is a photo opportunity, a truly Jurassic experience. Well be back up to explore further.
