Island View / Heilan Coo Glamping Pods

This was without a doubt one of the best places weve stayed during our trip along the north of Scotland . We stayed in the Heilan coo pod as the wife is a huge fan of the big beasties and we loved the decor with everything seemingly having a furry coo on it , the pod was immaculately clean and well stocked with everything you needed for a few days stay , the beer and the teacakes were a lovely touch. The comfortable bed and sofa with a heilan coo footstool of course was well needed after a long day exploring and the hot shower in the small ensuite was a great way to start the day , the small kitchen area has a sink , microwave and fridge with tea, coffee and sugar supplied, theres a small hot air heater which we only used in the morning and it only needed to be on for 10mins to warm up the pod. The view from the decking at the front door is fantastic with the views over the islands in Tongue Bay , we had some clear days and could see all the way to Orkney and as the pod faces east you should get a fantastic sunrise if your lucky like we had . Talmine shop is a 10 min walk away and the 2 local beaches are worth a visit with sublime views .All in all these are a fabulous way to spend a few nights while exploring this beautiful part of the country

Phoned on the day to see if there was any availability and was allowed to book in early one hour after the initial phone call! Upon arrival found two bottles of bear and two cakes with the heating on for us cracking facility with a comfy couch and bed with a view that takes your mouth to the floor! Blown away! Excellent parking area and access to the sea with a couple minutes of a walk. Easy to contact with any issues and left to your own self. Thank you for the stay!
