        Wonderful Cod & Chips. On an island where the choice and availability of pretty much everything is a lot less than you'd expect to find on the mainland, Jack's chippy is a real gem & I'm so glad I drove out in awful weather to experience it. The batter was light & crisp & the fish itself was delicate and perfectly cooked. The chips were great & also nicely cooked. The portion size was great & certainly worth the 9.20 I paid. Actually I think that's a bit cheaper than I pay at my local chippy in North Devon. The staff were friendly & I recognised the young lady from the grocers up the road. I bought a beanie with their logo on & it'll remind me of my trip & the great meal I enjoyed during my stay on the island.
